Bluepeak Fiber Internet is hosting an "Illustrated Story Contest" for the Dancing Turtle Arts Festival. The 2024 theme is "What Makes The Turtle Dance?". Use illustration, color, and creativity to fill in the background around the turtle to tell the story of why you think the turtle is dancing.

Create your art according to the instructions on the prompt document. Take a photo or scan the file into your computer so you can upload it to the registration form (linked below) and submit your artwork to the contest.
PRIZES
*EACH* age category will have a $25.00 1st place prize, a $15.00 2nd place prize, and a $10.00 3rd place prize.

Outdoor Zone By StillyArts & Wildly Brave
Our shaded outdoor exhibit will feature interactive art activities with StillyArts, music and movement games with Wildly Brave Dance Company, a family photo opportunity with silly props and costumes, and a fun bounce house for the kids.

Indoor “Art Is” Experience featuring Prairie Arts Center
Our indoor exhibit "Art Is..." provides an immersive and exploratory art experience for children as they discover the many different facets of what art is, what art can be, and our personal connection and experience as we relate to art. Prairie Arts Center will be running a special station entitled “Art is Human”, and there will be 5 other fun stations to explore as a family.
The indoor exhibit will be held in the Community Center Dining Hall with plenty of space for families to sit and rest and take an air conditioned break inside.
The Dining Hall includes water, restrooms, and a rest area for young babies and their caregiver.
We've Partnered with OSU...
Second Saturday with OSU Museum of Art
Join the OSU Museum of Art for a special Dancing Turtle Second Saturday during the Dancing Turtle Arts Festival weekend! This free event Saturday June 8th will offer inclusive art activities for all ages inside the museum from 11 AM to 2 PM. The featured artist, Kind Rock Runner, will lead turtle rock painting with positive messages on their bellies. There will also be a handwoven turtle activity and coloring sheets for the little ones. Additionally, the Stillwater Public Library will host "Story Time in the Museum" at 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM. You won’t want to miss this special Second Saturday, and don’t forget to visit the museum the second Saturday of every month for more fun activities!
